About the Credit Union
Community United Credit Union was founded in 1974 to serve the employees of the Eastern Division of the Dow Chemical Company. The original name of the credit union was Dow Eastern Federal Credit Union. In September 2000, we changed our name to Community United to better reflect our many membership groups. From our humble beginnings, we have grown into a multi-million dollar financial institution with a diverse membership. If you live, work or attend school within the County of Cuyahoga, you are eligible for membership. The credit union also serves the employees of many companies. If you are already a credit union member, all of your family members may also join the credit union.
At Community United, we strive to offer you the latest products and services at the lowest cost. Check out our competitive dividend rates. We can provide you with quick and personal service suited to your fast-paced lifestyle. Remember, at Community United, you are a member not a customer.
