Violet's New Shoes
My situation: I saw these cute shoes that I really want. My old ones are kinda worn, so I figured it’s time for new ones. They’re a little bit expensive, so I’ll need to save some money.
My budget: I made a list of the money I’ll get from my allowance and my birthday. I also made a list of things I spend my money on. I realized that I spend $15 a week going to the movies with my friends. If I keep this up, I’ll never be able to save enough money to buy my shoes.
My solution: If I invite my friends over and watch movies at my house instead of at the theatre, we’ll all save money ... and I’ll be able to buy my shoes!
